Let me tell you a story... A guy is walking down the road and he falls into this hole. The walls of the hole are so deep he can’t climb his way out, he’s stuck. Some time goes by and a priest walks up and the guy in the hole says “father! I’m stuck in this hole, can you help me out?!” The priest writes him a prayer, throws it in the hole, and keeps walking. A little more time goes by and a doctor walks up, the guy in the hole yells out “Hey doc! I’m stuck in this hole, can you please help me out?!” The doctor, writes him out a prescription, throws it into the hole, and keeps walking. Then a friend walks up to the hole. The guy in the hole says “hey friend I’m stuck in this hole, can you help me out?!” The friend jumps down into the hole with the guy. The guy is freaking out, “WHAT ARE YOU DOING?! WE’RE BOTH STUCK DOWN HERE!” The friend smiles calmly and responds, “I’ve been down here before and I know the way out, follow me.” We’d all be a little better if we chose to remember and to live up to the example of the friend in that story.
