Tomorrow marks a milestone moment for Gene & Georgetti as the City of Chicago honors the legacy of Anthony A. Durpetti with a street dedication outside the iconic restaurant. As Chicago’s original Tuscan steakhouse celebrates its 85th year, this event kicks off a yearlong celebration of history, tradition, and family. Now led by Michelle Durpetti, the first woman to take the reins, Gene & Georgetti continues to be a cornerstone of the city’s culinary scene. The ceremony will also coincide with the official opening of the restaurant’s alfresco dining areas.
