My power bill averages $21 a month from May-Sept and $76 a month from Oct-April. Yeah there’s morning in January and February when we wake up to 40° temps in the cabin but we wouldn’t have it any other way. This year I’m ahead of the game with 4 cords split and now I’m splitting 2 of those cords down to smaller pieces. Goal is to use those smaller pieces for the first two hours each day starting the fire then switch to larger pieces. Of all the things I’ve done in my life....this process is one of my favorites, and it’s free. I’ve got a LOT of trees and Mother Nature knocks a dozen or so down a year. The rest is sweat equity. It’s a good day to be alive. Don’t f*ck it up. P.S. Yeah I cut and split wood in crocs with no eye protection or gloves. You internet lumberjacks save your dumb comments for the two people that take you seriously...your mom and your kids. Good job
