Another unbelievable poster! This artwork was created by Diné/Akimel O’odham Artist Grace Rosario Perkins @gracerosarioo for The 10th Annual AIM-WEST Film Festival. Absolutely insane poster!! Remember - all proceeds will be donated to the IFH (Inter-Tribal Friendship House in Oakland California.) IFH is a safe space for indigenous peoples and was established in 1955 as one of the first urban American Indian community centers in the nation. For urban Indigenous peoples IFH has served as the Urban Reservation and Homeland. In many cases it is one of the few places that keeps Indigenous peoples connected to their culture and traditions through pow wow dance, drumming, beading classes, and the many social gatherings, cultural events, and ceremonies that are held there. Intertribal Friendship House is more than an organization. It is the heart of a vibrant tribal community. Movies will be shown everyday and all day from 10am till 12pm. If you don’t get a chance to see A film you like one day, guess what you can see it again the next day. That is the benefit of having a multi day virtual event!
