In these photos I pay tribute to the architecture that defined my visual landscape as a child. I directly manipulate fwy landscapes with multiple exposures or a shaky hand to abstract the quotidian forms into a dream like state. Other shots are still and crisp with prominent blocks of light and shadow. This blocking squeezes the viewers perspective into an intimate neighborhood setting common in South LA. The neighborhoods you never visit the ones you drive past. Neighborhoods that have an immediate hand in what’s shapes and makes Los Angeles great. You see a fwy, I see a painting.
