Chemist Reviews 👩‍🔬 VIRAL Summer Fridays Mineral Sunscreen This @summerfridays sunscreen has been all over my TikTok & Instagram lately! I had to purchase it to see what the hype is all about👀 🔍 Rating: 3.5/5 Pros: ✅ no white cast (on my skin tone) ✅ healthy, radiant (not too dewy) finish ✅ easy to apply - glides on like a ‘milk’ as the brand describes ✅ doesn’t pill on-top of my (rather extensive) skincare routine Cons: 😕 noticeable tingling sensation on skin upon initial application & re-application 😕 sticky/tacky finish that lasts approx an hour 😕 noticeable drying feeling on skin after approx 3 hours Final verdict: I aim to finish the bottle, however I wouldn’t repurchase this as the tingling sensation upon application is off-putting and the drying effect is quite noticeable 🫤For reference, I have a combination (leaning towards dry) skin type. I also adequately hydrated & moisturised my skin prior to applying this sunscreen. Interestingly enough, my sister (who also gave this sunscreen a go) has a very oily skin type and she also noticed this sunscreen had a drying feel on her skin after a few hours + tingled her skin upon application 🤨 I haven’t come across any reviews that mention what we both experienced 🤷‍♀️ I’m not jumping to recommend this sunscreen, but for those who are interested in getting it - it’s more suitable for combo-to-oily skin types & non-sensitive skin types.
