Footage of the very first time I swung a golf club šŸ˜‚ September 2019! 3 years ago. It was another 6 months before I actually started to try to learn how to swing a club and play the game. Needless to say, I was and am NOT a natural. The next swing is two years later (September of 2021) I’m too pregnant right now to do a full swing and do a year 3 comparison, but generally I’ve improved swing speed and have a little less sway. It has taken a lot of work and I’m still so far from my goals. Despite the savage introduction to golf with a driver 🤣 and the acknowledgment that progress in this game is often slow and not linear, I’m sticking with it... because I love it. I’m sharing this journey because I hope to inspire more women to the game. I didn’t grow up with the sport, and to be perfectly transparent I had always seen it as an elitist sport, one where access to women and people of lesser means was not typically granted. I wasn’t all wrong, but I wasn’t all right either. Most importantly, golf has seen a massive boom lately and the landscape of the game is changing. Ladies, we are a major part of that change. Golf is one of the most humbling and -at the same time- one of the most rewarding games on the planet. Ladies, YES, THIS GAME IS FOR YOU, as Arnold Palmer said ā€œthe most rewarding things you do in life are often the ones that look like they can’t be doneā€ But they CAN be done. As I always tell you in my @onepeloton classes ā€œcan’t is a cop out, CAN is who you areā€ #golf #girlswhogolf #golfswing #progress
