As a photographer, I feel like it is so important to constantly challenge yourself creatively. For me personally, I find that when I don’t, it’s so easy to fall into a rut, leaving me with zero inspiration to create. In my opinion, a huge part of producing great work has a lot to do with post processing, not just knowing how to capture a scene while out in the field. Don’t get me wrong, that’s a huge part! But the edit is where I feel like you can either make or break a great image. I am always looking for new ways to help improve my edits, so in return, I often find myself reworking older photos using newly found methods.
So with that being said, I captured this image back in May of 2020 and recently decided to rework it. Definitely an improvement from my old edit. I know there is always room for even more improvement, but I’m content knowing that I am constantly pushing myself to evolve and grow as a creative.
Give it two months and I’ll probably be unhappy with it 😉
