I never imagined my story would become part of a global movement to stop romance fraud. 💔🌍 Yesterday was World Romance Scam Prevention Day, and I had the honour of sharing my story in front of a room full of people who are truly dedicated to ending this crime — advocates, survivors, law enforcement, and professionals working every day to make change. I learned so much and am armed with new knowledge. I am determined to keep going and sharing my story because I know it’s helping others. Speaking publicly about something so personal is never easy… but every time we do, we chip away at the shame and silence that allow these crimes to thrive. It was such a privilege to meet and stand alongside Anna Rowe and Cecile.
