7 years ago today... an announcement was made that would change the lives of 14 drag entertainers, and sell it all began. Initially when we announced , we thought we'd be on Logo but then later on found out the actual Premiere would be moving to VH1 hosted by Wendy Williams and Ross Mathews , initially viewers complained that our episodes were too short and that they couldn't see our outfits on the runway and they were asking where the many challenges were for our season. our episodes were about 38 minutes without commercials. RunWays were clipped so hard that they needed to release longer versions online so people could actually see our costumes and outfits . Our episodes didn't feature a lot of mini challenges. But in 2017 when we premiered, season 9 was the only drag race product to happen globally. There were no other Seasons no International versions no all stars, no Christmas specials, no versus the world's or the universes or galactic empires, just season 9. And I'm grateful for that .
