the cover story for the September issue of @travelandleisure is my report from gorgeous St. Lucia earlier this year, where I had the opportunity to speak with local hospitality professionals, chefs, and farmers on the expanding reach of local cuisine as part of resort offerings on the island and as an act of reclamation of a diverse and delicious food culture that has often been dismissed by outsiders whose tourism dollars effect offerings. Things been changing tho and this story is just one example of folks powerfully rewriting their histories.
