And exactly who IS Latin American? 🤔 Please note: I am NOT speaking on behalf of all Latinos. The Latinx community is extremely diverse, spanning from NYC diaspora communities all the way down to Argentina. Multicultural identity is fluid, evolving, and complex especially when our non-white heritage has been repressed, oppressed, and intentionally erased for centuries. 💋 besitos PS: it was really hard to try unpacking such a complex topic in 10 IG slides, but I think it’s a good starting point to regalar preguntas y dudas. PPS: I think most of us in NYC and DR rarely identify as Latinx... Bc it’s SO general 😃 for example, normally I say from NYC. Or Dominican-American from NYC (when I travel). Or just Dominican.
