Hey mamas, meet Jordan ❤️ fiance, daddy of baby #6, sweetest man. He’s a functional movement trainer, former MMA fighter, and lover of Brazilian Jujitsu, plus a proud German Shepherd daddy.⁠ ⁠ So, I met Jordan when he joined the local freedom group that I run, sometime last year, several months after my divorce was finalized. I had been dating someone else - which, unrelatedly, didn’t last that long.⁠ ⁠ Then in my efforts at self care and fitness 💪 I hired Jordan as my trainer...functional movement, rope flow, all the nerdy movement therapies I’d never studied. And boy have I studied a lot of movement therapies (I have my certificate in dance/movement therapy, to be specific!).⁠ ⁠ Every 45 minute session turned into 2 1⁄2 hours of talking 🤓 We literally had to stop ourselves and leave the room lol. No flirting, just getting to know each other, chit chatting nonstop. It took him quite a while to even ask me out (um, yep, I have 5 kids, remember? Big decision!).⁠ ⁠ One day we took a sharp-shooting course together and on the way home, he finally hinted that he liked me. Do we keep training? Do we stop? Oy, the decisions!😅⁠ ⁠ We decided to keep training but to set specific boundaries for dating. I didn’t want to rush into anything. As I’ve posted previously, we began reading Cupid’s Poisoned Arrow together and implementing bonding behaviors long before we ever got physically serious. I very slowly introduced him into the kids’ lives as well (hello: wrestling and family hiking dates!!).⁠ ⁠ Then it was no longer slow - we just KNEW. We decided to (a) get married and (b) consciously conceive - I just turned 44 and he is a bit younger than me, childless up til now, so I didn’t want to miss the window because of MY age 🤣 - and we set to accomplishing those goals.⁠ ⁠ Here we are pictured in the summer. It’s now autumn and we are very excited about the new baby (due 2/10/23)...and even though ALL relationships take work, there is an ease and peace about this one that helps me know that our Creator is present, and ever-so-approving!, in our relationship.⁠ ⁠ Anyway, just thought I’d share a little bit about our story 😊❤️❤️starting over is such a gift.⁠
