I grew up in a place called Benfleet, which was just outside Southend. A small little town and it was a fantastic place to grow up. I had lot’s of friends, safe community, it wasn’t far from London. I didn’t know anything else, so for me it was a very very happy upbringing. We had this fantastic pub called The Sam Lords where everyone came from all over Essex on a Sunday night, it was the place to be... and that was our local pub. I had a lot of friends, there was a big firm of us, probably about 50 of us. I had a lot of fun growing up, it was a brilliant place. Episode 1 of The Man Behind The Dog is live now.
