Last summer in Detroit, when I was finishing the manuscript for Dilla Time, I didn’t have a much of a chance to get outside. Then, in Feburary 2022, when the book was released, Omicron basically deaded a live Detroit book event. So I had to wait until this summer to make the rounds and say “Thank you” to so many important people, and to the place itself. I appreciate you and you and you, the ones I had the presence of mind to snap photos with, and the ones with whom I was having too much of a good time to remember to do it. (And yes, that bootleg gets the finger)
