I don’t really have words to describe how sad I am that we wont get to make another season of #mrmayor— but I will try! I have loved making this show so dearly. To attempt to make a living as an artist means that you accept change. You create these little unique families while making something and then you say goodbye. It is far more rare to get to sit for awhile with a group of people. I feel so profoundly lucky that I got to work with some of my heroes, and find out that they’re actually wonderful people too. I am devastated to say goodbye to our wonderful writers, showrunners (I mean gd Tina Fey and Robert Carlock) producers, badass crew who worked through Covid and especially the cast. Who I love and admire so so so so much. This experience was life changing and I’m lucky to have had it. And I’m better for it. And in the meantime—I will shed some tears and say thank you to the artistic gods and also lol we still have our season finale on Tuesday. Thank you for watching the past two seasons and I hope we made you laugh.
