Today we visited the US District Court in Richmond VA to see my sentencing judge The Honorable Henry “Hang Em High” Hudson. This was the first time I saw him since He sentenced me to 130 months in Federal Prison on Jan 11th, 2013. I was accompanied by my sister Santra Rucker who was originally sentenced in the same court house to 13 life sentences + 480 months + 480 months + 240 months + 5 years supervised release from Judge Williams. Judge Hudson reduced my sentence to 65 months which allowed me to be released May 5th 2015 and granted Santra’s First Step Act motion where she was released Jan 31st 2020! We BOTH thanked him for his mercy!! Additionally I advocated for my remaining co-defendants release Today!! His clerk for over 20 years Robin was present, the Senior US Probation Officer Mr. Moore and 2 law clerks were present. We talked about mandatory minimums, First Step Act, Compassionate Release, housing, workforce development, how to reach our youth and creating a pilot program together with @thelohm !! To see my sentencing Judge cry moved me beyond words. Today was nothing short of Gods Grace and mercy!! I want to thank my sisters @jessicajackson @lashrecseaird for their letters of support... my prayer warrior sisters who covered me before going in @kimberlyjonesofficial @aishabarbington @syritarsteib @dariendiva718 @ceanowenscassandra @jamilatdavis @ivywoolfturk and so many countless others!! God is certainly working!!! Then to TOP it off I had the GREAT pleasure of being with both Santra and Kendu ... our baby girl @kyrisann parents!!! I am soooo full!!
