So you've been to the salon and you love your hair! It's everything you wanted and more. You're snapping selfies, posting on your social media, and purposely getting out of the house just to show off your fresh cut and style! Then it hits you.. You have another appointment scheduled, but what are you going to do in the meantime? If you have ever asked yourself this question, these four tips are for you: 1.) At Home Treatments Treating your hair at home is a great way to partner with your stylist to achieve your hair goals sooner. Be careful to choose your treatments wisely. Too much protein can cause your hair to feel brittle and dry. Heavy treatments can cause buildup. Find a treatment that provides you with a balance of protein and moisture. I recommend using the Influance Multiplex once a month. If your hair is dry, opt for hydration treatments ONLY and have protein treatments done in the salon. 2. Styling Techniques If your taper has grown out, coils are your friend! The coils will make your hair look shorter. Do coils on your sides and a wash and go on top. Fabulous! 3.) Practice Commit to perfecting at least one style to eliminate bad hair days. If you are unsure what style would work best for you, talk with your stylist. 4.) Get a Protective Style Protective styles are there to protect and are a good style option for in between salon visits. However, protective styles can damage your hair if they are left in for too long. Only leave your protective styles in for 6 weeks max and avoid getting them back to back.
