Who’s throwing me a retirement party?! Bittersweet post (novel) as I am officially hanging up the poms and finally sitting my tail down somewhere 😆 The last five years as a two-time history-making, NFL Cheerleader have been nothing short of amazing! My two years with the Saints and three with the Falcons will be some of the most rewarding years of my life and I am a better me because of them. I knew in my heart that last season was my last one cheering. I knew my heart was not in it anymore. You know when God gives you signs that it is time to move on to the next chapter/ phase of your life, but sometimes you are reluctant to follow those signs? Well when we don’t follow them, He has a funny way of leading us down HIS path anyway! I am so blessed that the God I trust was able to do that for me and I am thankful in His direction and decision and have quickly received much confirmation that it was indeed the right one, as He never fails. I cherish every memory/person in these pictures (and many not pictured) as they have made it all worth it! Every teammate, coach, sponsor, staff member, football fan I met at an appearance or game, alumni, etc. I know our paths were meant to cross. To my rookie classes especially, I love you ALL and loved experiencing our lives changing together! To all the male teammates I’ve had, we’ve broken barriers TOGETHER and will forever be game changers! Y’all are amazing! To EVERYONE who has been with me on this journey, YOU kept me going. You encouraged me, loved me, and were MY cheerleaders. I kept going for you. I love you all (Don’t throw me away bc I’m a has been now 😂) Oh and about the sitting my tail down, I was just kidding! I’ve had some things in the works for the last few years now that I can’t wait to share soon! I will now have the time, clarity, and focus needed to step fully into what I feel is my purpose and I am so excited! I hope I’ve been able to inspire at least one person to go after their dreams and know that they can do anything regardless of negativity, where you come from, or even your own self doubt. If I have done that then my mission is accomplished ❤️
