Said goodbye to a legend today. I got Trigger in Feb ‘07. He’s been my tag-a-long for 15 years. He saw a lot of this country on tour, and was with me through several life stages. He was my kids first dog. He let them pull his ears and crawl over him, as annoyed as anyone would be, but he never once got upset. He endeared himself to so many over the years, and he’ll be greatly missed. Today he got a cheeseburger, a lot of love, and one last ride in my old truck. Held his paws as he went on to the next life. Taylor & I are pretty crushed, and Emery cried when she realized he wasn’t coming back. It’s a tough day in the Abbott household but I’m grateful for all the years and memories. Everyone gets that ONE dog in their lifetime that just means more, and Trigger was mine. That last pic gets to me. Like all of us, I have no clue what the afterlife holds. But here’s hoping he finds my dad somewhere. Happy trails little buddy
