Hope, 2021 Oil on Wood 18x24” Over the past year this piece has been one of my favorite creations and it took me months. Not because it was laborious but because it felt so easy and in hindsight I think I was trying to bask in the process, in her energy, for as long as possible. It’s 3:10am in Paris right now (technically my birthday on this side of the globe) and for some reason Hope is all that’s on my mind. Maybe thats her way of telling me that’s the theme of this next chapter. Leaning deep into anything that brings me ease and doing it for as long as possible.
