Conversation with @analog_way “This photo has been shot in Plaza Cisneros, in Medellin, Columbia. The energy that emanates from this city is just incredible. Culture is present in all its forms and on every street corner. Its inhabitants are extremely welcoming and very open. It's the best playground for a street photographer. I remember that day, I let myself be passed: I walked in the city without really knowing where I was going. There were so many moments of life to capture that I reached the end of my film in few minutes. I didn't have any extra on me, and I only had one pose left for this photo. So I studied the composition, the framing, made my seetings and stayed ready. A child was running after the birds around me. It didn't take long before one of them passed in front of the lens and I just had to trigger the shot. I'm currently based in France, in Limoges. I usually count on two essential things for my photos: the discovery of new cultures, new environments, which allows me to always keep a new eye on what is surrounding me. And the social tie, the exchanges with people I photograph, or the curious ones that I meet on the streets. Unfortunately the conditions of the past year were not conducive to all of this. I hope everything is going to get better for everyone soon. I'm usually listening music while shooting. But not for this shot. The city was bustling this day, opportunities were appearing everywhere : I was way to afraid to miss something great to shot, I wanted to pay attention to everything . But if I had to pick one song that would represent the moment, it would have been Marieta - Ibrahim Ferrer or Danza de vision - Nicola Cruz, depending on my mood at that very moment. This shot has been made with the magic combo of Tri-X 400 & Olympus OM-2n. Never disappointed, always surprised!”
