“Independence Day” ... but in a country with nearly 300+ bills erasing LGBTQ+ people, a country still murdering Black folks for being Black, a country with thousands of missing and murdered Indigenous women, and a country that just banned bodily autonomy for anyone who can get pregnant... independence for whom??
