Also, quick story time for *the* mini tote because we designed it over 4 years ago and we’re selling it for the first time now! In 2019 I went to Japan (a life changing trip which inspired me to start Crown Affair) and I found this little tote from the Chichu Art Museum in Naoshima (slide 7). I fell in love with the size and shape. Then I went back to the states and started to work on Crown Affair, reached out to dozens of domestic tote makers (many who I worked with through my 10 years prior in consumer) and quickly learned that no one made totes this size / ratio. no one ! So @shoshibuya and I measured this bb and made one of the first custom totes of this size in the states. Now they’re all over and I wish we launched them for sale 4 years ago when we made them for our team in 2020 (slide 9, February 2020 in LA before the pandemic shut downs). This little tote is the Mary Poppins of mini totes— it holds so much while still being tiny !! And it has the ‘Sho special’ of puffy print text and mark on both sides. 〰️ I know it’s just the little details, but they matter.
