Pre-Echo Press is happy to present our first ever holiday fundraiser: PRE-XMAS, a holiday themed mix-tape (cassette) by NYC based DJ and musician Nate Harrington @harshparch . All funds raised from the sale of PRE-XMAS will be donated to Trinity Place Shelter @trinitys_place , a non-sectarian, 10-bed transitional shelter for LGBTQ youth and young adults. Harrington and Pre-Echo Press founder Matt Connors first met more than 12 years ago when both were working behind the counters at influential L.A. cultural establishments; Connors at South Willard @southwillard and Harrington at Family Books (RIP). The idea for a holiday mixtape emerged out of a mutual appreciation for beloved oddball Christmas collections of the past, most notably by famed Belgian label, Les Disques du Crepuscule ( we will share a link in a future post) , and Nate's mix does not disappoint as an addition to the canon. The cassette itself is a beautifully designed sculpture/object/ stocking stuffer (cover image by Marcella Dusi @tinyobjectshere ) Each purchase will come with a link to an MP3 for the mix.
