🏆Congratulations to Shehan Karunatilaka, winner of the 2022 Booker Prize for Fiction! The Queen Consort, who has long-championed the joy of reading and advocated for literacy, presented Shehan with the Prize for his novel ‘The Seven Moons of Maali Almeida’. Founded in 1969, The Booker Prize is the leading literary award in the English speaking world. This year’s ceremony was the first full in-person ceremony since 2019, and the seventh time Her Majesty has presented the Prize.
