Sept 15- Oct 15 is Hispanic Heritage Month. Today we celebrate the December 25, 1947 concert when Cuban percussionist and multi-hyphenate artist Chano Pozo performed with Dizzy Gillespie, cementing their collaboration in annals of Afro-Cuban Jazz and Jazz history. In 1981, Gillespie returned to the hall to pay tribute to Pozo and Afro-Cuban Jazz. Legends Mario Bauza and Paquita D’Riveira joined.
