With everyone posting their baby’s milestones out of excitement it can be challenging to focus on your own child. The practice is focusing on your own journey is not only important for the parents, it’s important for the child because “milestone” comparison doesn’t stop at childhood. As adults we all love to compare where we are in life to those around us. Every new job, new home, or extravagant family vacation is broadcasted right in front of our eyes thanks to social media and can cause us all to feel like we aren’t where we’re supposed to be.
