LAUNCHING LANECHANGER! I’m beyond THRILLED to share with you a project I began creating and filming last July and that, in many ways, I’ve been working towards my entire career. When I first began telling my story in 2015, I expected to do so for a few years and stop. But the need for trans inclusion training has only increased exponentially, especially with the record-breaking onslaught of legislative attacks. Over the past six years I’ve given over 400 speeches and trainings to hundreds of businesses, organizations, and schools, but there are thousands more. LaneChanger will bring gender literacy to all of these places with ease. Most people cannot even define the word transgender, and some 60% of Americans say they haven’t met a trans person. Yet nearly everyone seems to be engaging in conversations about trans people and where we do or don’t belong. How can we have these conversations if we don’t have the most basic understanding and contact with real trans people? We can’t. We must begin with our humanity, with basic terminology and basic information about trans lives. LaneChanger can will bring you this and more.
