today marks 1year at @broodbakkerijex . went working here during covid to stay sane going through another lockdown. Still there whenever i can besides shoots and books cause its too good not to. This bakery made me realize how nice it is not being behind the program all the time (uni), being incontrol of your daily life (modeling) or experiencing an unsatisfying lack of freedom (9 to 5s). this jobba gave me early mornings on the ferry, forever flour stained clothes, small talks i thought i couldnt handle but actually did, working with the most pure and hard working woman (only ladies in this bakery) and of course lots of knowledge and delish tastes of breads/veggies/coffee/wines from all local and bio farms. I experienced the great value of what its like to spend days in a no money or power driven environment which i am used to (and still love and still working in though but i had no idea how much that also costs until now). just wanted to share cause i find lots of us feeling stuck, unhappy or slightly unsatisfied with the things and work we do. but... (surprise?!) you dont have to :). I always wanted to work in a bakery when I was little and eventually I just did it. Sooo DO SOMETHING YOU LOVE IT WILL MAKE YOU HAPPY XX
