I started Solid Citizen Equestrian as a way to keep horses in my life. The financial component of riding has always been a difficult piece for me to navigate- growing up and now as an adult funding the dream on my own. Most of you know I work extremely hard for my 9-5 as a fit model working in LA, (almost) every penny I make goes to making sure I am being the most responsible horse owner I can be- caring for my incredible mare, Kori. It started off as a way to bring my passion and knowledge to the equestrian space- offering DTC pricing and keeping costs affordable but quality high and competitive with the household equestrian names. What it’s turned into is a community of likeminded women, a safe space for us to feel, express and push ourselves, and a way for riders past and future to feel included in the sport and community. The truth is- I can’t fit model while I am pregnant, I can’t support myself and my horse through pregnancy and creating a family one day and being able to provide for myself has become an extra layer of grit, determination and a driving force for the brand and my expansion as a designer, biz owner, CEO, pd, tech, web developer, etc, etc, roles. I am one woman show and I am pouring everything into the life I’ve always wanted for myself. I launched a new capsule and it’s available for presale now. It’s always been pretty hard for me to promote myself on this account. As someone who understands the value of money I am continuously moved beyond words by the support and investment my customers have made in this company and my work.
