I didn’t know when this day would come but I knew if I was patient, faithful and invested in my career it would happen someday. Last night was a culmination of MANY years of hard work. Since 2005, every step in my fashion journey has been a learning experience that I continue to carry with me. I tell my @jahari_mentorship mentees often that everyone’s journey is different. Mine included summer enrichment programs, MANY unpaid internships, an undergrad and grad degree in fashion, running around NYC in snow storms as an intern/design assistant, organizing Pantone’s as an assistant designer, building profitable category businesses as a designer, leading an amazing design team as a design manager, and taking a huge leap of faith to build something new @11honore as design director. Needless to say, it’s hasn’t been an easy journey but last night was evidence that it’s been so worth it. @patrickherning thank you for taking a chance on me. Your vision is unmatched and I’m honored to apart of making it come to fruition. Erin, I’m so thankful for your leadership.
