First day back vibes! Aubrin went back to forest school today and she could not be more excited to be roaming and learning outside with an entourage of awesome kids and teachers so it’s only natural to take a quick glance back in the rear view at a summer of epic proportions. Feels like a lifetimes worth of experiences happened in these first few months of being five years old and this video is a vivid reminder of all that we accomplished and experienced, much of it in the shadow of my unknown medical issues, yet we didn’t stop, motivated to live every day to the fullest. To some, kids become an excuse to not do things, to others they are the reason you go; the motivation to experience as much as possible in this fleeting time together. This summer has also been a confirmation of my belief that kids are capable of so much more than we give them credit for when they have our unwavering support. • • • My first surgery is scheduled for the 28th of this month and you can be damn sure I’ll play this hype video before heading into the OR so that I’ll fade away with these memories front and center in my mind.
