This past Saturday @dabel22 and I hosted our very first holiday party together. We opened up the doors of the house to 65 people from our Nashville community who we love and admire deeply. My house means a lot to me for a lot of reasons, but when I looked out to all of the faces starring at me on Saturday as I was giving a toast, I thought back to the moment I signed the papers and closed on my house. I took a mental snap shot of all of those faces who gathered in a home in East Nashville to celebrate with each other and celebrate the love and joy of the holiday season. I vividly remember closing my eyes after the toast and capturing an image of that moment. Never wanting to forgot what bringing people together means. Home, community and celebrating. It’s all things that I hold so immensely close to my chest. Showing up for your friends is the greatest gift of all. My heart will be full for a very long time remembering this night. Thank you to everyone (near and far) who leans into a Kylie Nadeau party baby. There will be glitter, decorations, lights, drinks and food, but above all there will always be so much heart. Thank you for pouring into me the way you do. I hope you always feel loved, supported and reassured that you have a second home to walk into whenever you need a warm embrace. That’s what filling this home means to me. It’s about welcoming you in and filling these walls with laughter and memories. Thank you for making my first official Christmas in the home, feel like it’s exactly where the universe called me to be. Merry Christmas everyone.
