Been after an axis in velvet for 10 years! Seems like I always missed the window, or if I did see one then it wasn’t mature enough or I just didn’t have a shot. From buddy’s ranches to free range herds in the hill country and far west Texas, I’ve always struck out. Well the stars aligned last night and I checked it off my bucket list! Best deer meat there is and a beautiful mount for our house. Thank you @champion_ranch for yet another 5 star experience across the board!
