Meet Coach Kat! 👋🏻 “Hello! I’m coach Kat! I’m currently a 2nd year student at CSULB for marine biology and have played soccer all my life! I started club when I was about 8 and was a goalkeeper throughout my years until graduating high school. Growing up I was the oldest of 7 kids so I got to coach my younger siblings and their friends in soccer. When my siblings joined soccer teams I would often help their coach/run practice or help the goalie get ready for their competition. In high school, I ran track and field and played volleyball and have overall always loved being outside and getting to meet new people and teammates. Because I loved interacting with people and playing sports growing up I know how important it is for kids to gain those important interactions and build their motor and social skills. Sportball allows kids to do this without the threat of being better or worse than anyone else. It is truly a great program that brings children confidence up and allows them to meet new friends and make memories that they can take with them moving forward. I love being a part of Sportball and seeing the kids interact with and grow with one another. I am so proud to be a coach here and am looking forward to seeing more and more kids develop their skill sets and find excitement in each new sport.”
