Sometimes the journey is messyyyy ladiez!
Other than wanting freedom over the clothes I could buy, my main mission when I got to college was to not be dependent on anyone. There was this fear around being in debt due to a scarcity mindset on money, so it was my main focus until the weight was lifted.
Throughout the years of paying it off, I also pursued pre med night classes, trained for and ran a marathon, started a side hustle of flipping clothes on resale websites, grew a tiktok community on software engineering interview prep, and working at a bakery on the side.
Post marathon, I started a habit of hot girl walks instead of cortisol spiking runs and picked up the habit of listening to entrepreneurial podcasts. Thus began my obsession with entrepreneurship. I eventually decided to start my own podcast figuring it would bring about a substantial amount of personal growth while also connecting me with people since software engineering can often be a more isolating job. Lots of solo work.
I’m grateful for the experience of studying computer science and learning coding, but honestly I want more. I want a job where I’m constantly learning and have freedom over what I’m doing day to day. I’m trying to create that right now, but it’s kind of chaotic and not all that cute. It’s much less cute than making good money as a coder and living a beautiful life in a beautiful city while having financial stability. But still, I’m determined.
Follow along to see the chaos, and the passion project, pending.
