Señor Sapo & THE FUTURE SOUND OF YESTERDAY (two alter egos of mine) team up bringing to light a longterm vision... when Augie and I went Theotihuacan to make this photo; we went purposefully VERY early; I'd have to change in the taxi; hence the early hour; up those seemingly thousands of steps with an oldschool "box camera"; and there was one couple atop watching the sunrise; impervious to our existence... cool! a few shots in and an entire school class of 4-5 year olds were standing behind me mesmerised! "Señor Sapo! Señor Sapo!" they think I'm a toad!? The impetus for this character I based on the "myth" of Quetzlcoatl; hence the reptilian skin with the corbu feathers protruding from the crown? Those young Mexican children totally "GOT IT!" they were afraid to touch "Señor Sapo" as they said to their handlers: "no quiero; se ve viscoso"; I believe they thought I was "slimy" as the suit looks wet... l0l Señor Sapo was born that morning atop the Pyramid of the Sun! THE FUTURE SOUND OF YESTERDAY ORCHESTRA is another alter-ego that has appeared off an on since about 2003 and exists solely because I like the name? the Music on this acetate was recorded over the space of 5 years in various places: Wolfgang I met in a 24hr bar; came back drunk and he dropped the piano part; I produced the track "0de to a tree" around it; "Elsewhere plbk" was made for a club night I had in Sacramento, CA in 2016 called "ELSEWHERE" with a buddy of mine AJ Sachs; and "is it good for you" was initially an instrumental by another alter-ego KENT CHESTERFIELD however; I added a vocal and thought it sounded more like T.F.S.O.Y. so now it is...
