*A reel that will have you in your feels* Earlier this month, my dear friend and Spelman sister, Ms. Annie, was being honored for her work. At 102, she is still being celebrated for being the pioneer that she was! A graduate of @spelman_college (class of 43), who went on to become a fashion designer who owned and operated her own couture shop in Detroit for 15 years. Despite being extremely smart and talented, she faced many obstacles on her journey of being a black woman entrepreneur! You name it, she experienced it! Yet at 102, despite her circumstances, she still smiles and carries on because in her own words “she is a living testament of God’s grace.” I hope this video of us, and this honor warms your heart. Just as it did mine, when I saw how happy she was!
