Congrats...@waydownnyc The series I worked on in the summer of 2021, has been selected for @newfest 34 ..and it deserves it. This cast is in topnotch and the soundtrack is breathtaking. Special shout out to "Right There With You", a song written by Nini Camps @ninicamps and Stephen Kellogg (originally on @antigonerising's new album) performed by the UBER-talented @hi__im__iris__ AND @thedeontegoodman for his OWN song, “Chasing Heaven.” ....Deon’te’s voice hits you from the inside out. Serious musical and vocal talent here. I’m proud to be a part of this series, but working on it was somewhat complicated for me. A lot of the scenes were shot here in the east village, my heart and home for the last twenty-five years. One scene in particular, was filmed at one of my old haunts: Wonderbar / Eastern Block/ @clubcumming . As I was clicking away behind the shutter, I had to watch my messy twenty’s played out in the VERY bar they happened in. The universe folded in on itself....and the DRAMA was all too present.
