HELLO WEMBLEY 🙌🏻 I’ve always made this joke anytime I walk out hosting.. but it actually HAPPENED! Dancing for a pop star in a venue like this, actually strutting a 50’ cat walk and feeling the noise of 80,000 people hit you was the dream for as long as I’ve ever known.. I was told this wouldn’t happen for me. Categorically. To femme. Not big enough. Not strong enough. To have a true star powerhouse BRIT winner see our power, trust our talent and use their platform to put trans and BIPOC performers on one of the biggest and most famous stages in the world is groundbreaking. 💥 GROUNDBREAKING 💥 Not just for me personally a dream come true and honour to support the work of such a force of nature who as cared for us from day one making sure everyone a pronouns were respected to demanding our own dressing rooms to feel comfortable changing as trans people - people need to be like our ICON @beckyhill - love you babe ❤️here’s to our hot girl summer! ✌🏻✌🏻✌🏻 A little girl ran up to me after the show and said ‘wow you were one of Becky’s dancers! You were amazing - I want to be like YOU!’ I melted, the mum smiled and said ‘you keep working hard and you can be’ - no jokes no mention of me being in drag - I didn’t think the little girls would ever want to be me. In truth I thought I’d always want to be them.. but I’m being seen on my terms and celebrated for so. For any gender ambiguous dancer or those who sit out of the mould HOLD STRONG understanding and embracing your differences are the root of your power. NOW FLY MY PRETTIES 💖 And on an even soppier note - to be able to turn to the love of my love and smile at him on stage and talking about every moment getting of stage is a rare privilege I will never take for granted.
