Dholki Part 2: Family 🧡 I am so grateful to have a family that has been at my side through every challenge & celebration in life. I’ve been blessed with the most selfless parents in the world and two brothers that keep me laughing and… humble. My mother stayed up until 5am cooking the food, finalizing the decor and painting a canvas to welcome the guests. My dad and brothers spent hours running around to get last minute supplies, setting up decor and finishing the event clean up before I even had the chance to help. Pakistani weddings require a big lift and for everyone to be on board to help, and thanks to them the event went smoothly. My sweet friends, who are also like family to me, flew and drove in from all over the US to kick off my wedding celebrations. Dholki’s usually have singing and dance performances and I felt sad growing up that my family abroad wouldn’t be able to join for the festivities so I wouldn’t have performances. Boy was I wrong! My friends showed up on the dance floor and left not a single crumb. I can’t wait to share their performances with you soon - but for now enjoy another incredible group photo taken by none other than @pareenmhatre
