a few years ago, in nov 2019, I was on a solo backpacking trip to machu pichu, when one night I looked up to the sky and almost heard a voice say, “you always wanted to pursue your dreams. If not now, when?” And after that trip I was never the same. The fire in me was re-ignited. And I was faced with a major tough life decision - to stay married to my cushioned and safe 9-5 job as a software engineer or to let it all go and follow my gut…. hi, i’m ruchi. :) I am a software engineer by education, that I guess you could say “went rogue”. in 2020, I felt pulled to live a more creative life, a more free life. the change wasn’t overnight. It took me 3 years of daily inner work and a lot of grace from the divine to believe in myself and quit my job. I decided to break my golden handcuffs; quit my job and moved to hawaii. I now live a much simpler and slower life. it amazes me still that I can go to a beach on a tuesday afternoon, I can visit my friends any day of the week and watch the ocean sunsets every day of my life. now I am an entrepreneur, creating an authentic and true life for me away from a desk job.
