Once condors are treated for lead poisoning and test at a lower level, they can be released back into the free flying population! Some condors will go through treatments for a week, for others it can be over a month. Like many other animals, condors all have individual personalities and react differently to being released. Some condors can’t wait to get out of the release kennel and have a very dramatic exit, some hop out and take in the views before flying off, and others will quickly perch somewhere to preen their feathers.
