We went to the end of the road, then to the end of the trail, lost our way (several times), followed the river to where the water flowed uninterrupted, got to the spring, lost phone service for a few weeks, skipped stones, foraged for wild food, ate, hung out with shepherds and nomads, new born horses, went over high passes, bathed in the hot water that emerged naturally from the coldest mountains, wandered in ancient forests, slept in warm sleeping bags in freezing tents. I love you Nepal. What a mad, conflicted and special place the world is. We need to take better care of it.
