An extreme juxtaposition. The view from the back deck of my boat, seeing the last colors of the day before fading to night. No less than 10 minutes before, 45 degrees from this view to the east, I heard 12 shots from a 9mm get fired from the public beach, roughly 400-500 yards from where I’m at. People ran and scattered as police cruisers came from all directions to one central vector. I’ll wait to see the reports, but I’d be shocked if some senseless loss of life didn’t occur.
