For a week now I've been in perpetual motion scaling for the release of The Essential Dick Gregory, immediately followed by my father's 90th birthday celebration. Wow! Did we truly celebrate his life — Chicago, New York, Oxon Hill, and DC. Big love, with the highest of frequency and beautiful vibrations. What I call being underwater, my father called ripping and running. That pace for him may have been ballistic but his perception of it was one of peace, ballistic peace. Sometimes in all of the hyperactivity, you find stillness. Those still moments underwater for me felt like a Dick Gregory baptism. Now on the other side, I feel renewed and profoundly grateful.
