One of my favourite moments from this past year. Why on earth would anyone run over 200km? Why would anyone do this largely alone in -30 or more conditions, across frozen lakes and through enchanted snow drenched forests? It’s not always why. But why not? And if you have a why, it’s usually for finding solitude and happiness in huge discomfort. The same sort of reason people take ice baths or cold showers or hike big mountains. Much has become to easy & convenient in life that to escape it, many people go fill circle and seek out discomfort. It’s rewarding in ways you probably understand more than you realise until you pursue it. The journey & the feelings > the actual thing itself.
