Dorm Inspection in the so-called “brown shoe days.” September 1958. You’ll notice some differences from what you’d expect today. The Doolie bed was not made, but all linen and blankets were folded and grounded against the wall and foot of the bed. Gaze at their uniforms as well. On their silver-tans, you’ll notice a lack of shoulder boards. They didn’t earn these until A-Day which used to fall on Parents’ Weekend. Another detail is their name tags: class-colored (second picture is a repost of an old photo showing these better). This practice was very short lived. #oldzoo
