motivation...... 🧠> 🫀
Here’s the truth - its rare that I’m super motivated and pumped to go do my workout. BUT - 9 times out of 10 when I feel tired/ de-motivated and really cba to work out, I end up feeling 100X better and more energised after getting a workout in
Motivation isn’t what you should be seeking- it can be good for initial inspiration in the short term... but if you really want something, you have to show up for it and be consistent whether you’re motivated or not
& besides the physical / aesthetic benefits of showing up - fitness is probably the one thing that has got me through the darkest times in my life. It’s my therapy. It’s my “me time” - it makes me a stronger, more resilient and more positive person
REMEMBER THIS:
✨People are successful because they are consistently consistent with their fitness and nutrition
✨People are successful because they have developed small daily habits which compound over time
✨People are successful because they set REALISTIC goals, both short and long term and actually strategise how to reach them!
✨People are successful because they set themselves up in an environment and surround themselves by supportive people which makes it easier to succeed.
✨People are successful because they focus on the PROCESS and their small day to day actions: not the outcome
You need enough motivation to sustain a behaviour until it becomes a HABIT. Research has shown this is approx ~66 days. Once it’s a habit, it’s an ingrained part of your day to day life! For me: going to the gym, hitting my steps, eating healthy isn’t hard at all! In fact I f*cking LOVE it now it’s just part of who I am. It literally feels the same as brushing my teeth/ taking a shower!
